We have facilities available for all occasions. Specializing in event management we can help with your conference, party or reception.
The Sportsman Hotel has successfully catered for many functions over the years, and prides itself on being able to deliver each function with its own uniqueness. The Hotel has a large beer garden and heated patio which together create an ideal area to host summer evening parties. We can offer the use of barbeques, and an outdoor bottle bar to private parties, also organizing suitable music, games and entertainment. The beer garden can also be used as a venue for a marquee. This is probably the best setting in Northumberland, for the view and the atmosphere, which this area of outstanding natural beauty offers.
Social Functions
We have catered for Wedding anniversaries, birthday parties, christenings and nights just for fun!. We are able to make each one individual. Our largest party of 2003 saw over 450 guests with locally caught barbequed lobster and Northumbrian steak on the menu, entertainment was supplied by two bands and the local parachute display team performed a dramatic late evening desent to the backdrop of the castle, landing only feet from the front wall of the Hotel.
Business Functions and Residential Functions.
We can provide quiet areas to be used for training seminars and business meetings, we can also provide a full array of support to make your meeting as stress free as possible. The space is limited so parties of 20 or less would be most suited(for larger parties please contact us for further information) times and dates need to be booked in advance.
