CHRISTMAS in Northumberland 08/09

Imagine Christmas spent infront of a cosy log fire with a glass of homemade mulled wine after a long walk on the lovely beach in Embleton.
A tune or two of, course in the Christmas spirit, from local folk musicians that we have invited to play who usually call in around this time of year.

Our three day Christmas offer begins with

an early evening Champagne reception at the bar
followed by a four course meal of locally sourced food prepared by Nico our fantastic chef from France.

Christmas Day

Breakfast served a little later 8.30-9.30 includes a traditional breakfast or a choice of homemade mueslis, cereals, freshly prepared fruit cocktail or the famous Craster Kippers with a Bucks Fizz to
keep the present opening fun.

Lunch will be served from 12.30 - 3.00
and be a feast of local game and tradition sourced from Mount Pleasant farm in Alnmouth.

Belini cocktail and canapé reception


Roast pumpkin and Oxford blue cheese soup

A taster of fresh local seafood

Pigeon and Foie gras wrapped in cabbage with brandy and port sauce


Prosecco granita


Traditional free range roast Northumberland turkey, chestnut and sage stuffing,
chipolatas and cranberry sauce

Roast Rib of aged Northumberland beef, Yorkshire puddings, creamed horseradish and goose fat roast potatoes

Sautéed Amble Monkfish Matelote, bacon, mushroom and red wine sauce

Fricassee of wild Mushroom with herb gnocchi and crème fraiche


All main courses are served with a selection of seasonal vegetables


Homemade Christmas pudding with rum sauce

Caramelised banana served with rich chocolate sauce

A Selection of English and continental cheeses

Fresh Illy coffee petit fours


£49.95 per person a deposit of £30.00 is required on your booking and the final balance is due 14 days prior to the date.

New Year Package

29th,30th and 31st Dec

Arrive on the 29th

An invitation to have a free glass of gorgeous Ruggeri Prosecco Rose at the bar

Evening supper at 7.30 includes three courses including locally sourced produce.


Breakfast on the 30th will be served sligfhtly later 8.30-9.30

After having walked long and far on one of our many beaches or after visiting many of the castles, gardens or local attractions supper will be served at the slightly earlier time of 7.00.-9.00

Plenty of logs will be on the fire and with hot chocolate in hand you may prefer an early evening before the big night.

Old Years Night as some of the locals call it, well Earldine one of the real locals does and nobody crosses Earldine !

The bar is open for real a complimentary glass of Champagne a four course evening indulgence a Ceilidh from the Robb family and a kiss and dance to wish the New Year.

Next morning - a slow rise and a late brunch/ breakfast.

Checkout will be around 1 pm

Total cost £300.00


Please note for non residents the price to come in and join our fun will be £49.00 per person tables of eight to ten only includes a glass of fizz and the Ceilidh.
